Modernity Undone

Modernity undone
You've been waiting for this to occur
since your mind started listening to a different drum;
an old one, pounding the rythm
of ancient tales and our ancestors ways.
Long forgotten. Never known? Never passed on!
For the last knowing mouth has been shut by greed and fear.
Untold wisdom - almost lost -
will be a healer in these darkened times.
Modern society undone.
Shut down by an unforgiving force.
A force without prejudice
for gender, race or believe,
putting us back into our place
on this wonderful earth.
You prepaired and sought after
the teachings of the ones that came before us.
Expand your awareness and listen to the wind.
Learn from the animals and reclaim the wilderness within.

Reap the Storm

Reap the storm
Nothing will be left
of this once blooming world.
Capitalism wont stop
to dig its claws into the heart of the earth.
It will rip apart
every biome on this planet.
Clearcutting forests, damming rivers,
Denying creatures their place to live.
Evicting people from their homes.
Enslaving our lives, degrading our love.
Isolating everyone!
Separating us from ourselves.
Greed and ignorance reign,
Green paper reigns,
Everything becomes a commodity
A world of wildness ends.
Greed and ignorance reign,
until the earth is ravaged and dead.
Fire in the sky.
Blood on their hands.
Poison in the sea.
Barren are once thriving lands.
Talking is over.
Let our actions speak.
They will have to listen
to the havoc we'll wreak.
They shall face our rage.
They shall feel our scorn.
They who sow the wind
shall reap the storm.
They who sow the wind shall reap the storm!

Earth First!

Earth First!
Grey clouds cast
their shadows down.
Once mighty trees lie
shattered on the ground.
Behold the scars of the earth,
as machines defile the natural world.
An ancient forest watches
as its end approaches.
Smoke blackens the sky,
while a thousand riotcops arise.
Armed to the teeths,
scum in blue protects the thieves.
The guts of the land are ripped out.
Yet, tiny flowers are blooming everywhere.
Small signs of resistance sprout.
They cover old bark and mighty root.
Silent watchers gather, masked in black.
within a fortress built into the highest trees.
We stand strong to save the Earth.
We'll hold our ground to heal this world.
“Save the Earth First!”
is written on our banners.
No coal, no clearcut!
Not now, not ever!
No coal, no clearcut!
Not now, not ever!
We block the roads and put our bodies on the line.
We dig trenches and stand guard among the pines.
While my heart is on fire
I stare into the eyes of the machine.
I won't back down.
won't step aside.
I feel alive
for the first time.
I'll make no compromise
in defense of the Earth.
I am determined
to fight for a better world.
Destruction is the work
of a single afternoon.
To come into bloom
might take a lifetime.

Civilization and its Discontents
We live in a time of unrest,
witness civilization and its discontents.
We are bound to live in chains,
in a world at war with itself.
All states enslave,
they are the Leviathan.
Civilizations kill,
they consume our one true home.
Break free from the chains
of modern life,
which is a war against ourselves
and against the earth.
Leave everything behind.
Leave the opression,
the ignorance and obsession,
leave the dependence, the comfort far behind.
Stray from the path
beyond the borders of your mind.
Sever the ropes of guilt,
that fetter humankind.
Embrace the strands of love,
the infancy of humanity,
the origin of humility.
Stay close to the feeling of reverence.

Future Primitives

Future primitives
We can not see!
We can not feel!
We've lost our way!
Forced to believe in progress,
we merely exist in this „civilized“ world.
We can not build our common future,
while we've forgotten our common past.
For 10.000 years we denied our shared lineage.
The tracks of our ancestors disappeared beneath the sands of time.
We cling on to the cultural dogmas,
that replaced the connection we all once had
to Mother Earth and each other.
We cling on to the artificial gods
that robbed us of the knowledge
of responsibility and respect.
Our roots have been lost and fractured.
We need to change our ways.
The seed of intention must take root
and sprout in its own time.
We need to be aware,
we need to dig out those common roots,
we need to overcome the separation,
break down the walls within
that keep us apart.
We need to reveal our common origins
and what connects all human beings on this Earth.
